I believe that all living beings require a conscious but that for all intents and purposes. We all die. The physical idea of observing the world and having a family after death I can agree with, but you wont remwmber your previous life. You will lose all of your memories, travel across universes, looking for a perfect vessel for your soul, and you will live in it. However I feel some people keep memories for a short time. This explains why there are thousands of children eith perfect recolection of their moments of death in their past life. Like those kids who remember the name of their boats or friends or even the plane they piloted during the second world war. Maybe if they stay in the same universe if they are lucky enough they can get to keep their past memories for a little bit.
