I would recommend you to just increase your circles, t will definitely increase your likelihood to be picked. That, of course, has to include female friends. Try to be keep an authentic mind and stand out in some way you feel more comfortable with. Of course, I don't have a lot of credibility to talk about either but those are my two cents.
