>>4192363Officially, the government of Canada denies possessing any nuclear weapons.
The general population had massive protests like 40 years ago, with overwhelming support for getting rid of nukes.
But what about conventional warfare?
According to Global Firepower (
https://www.globalfirepower.com/country-military-strength-detail.asp?country_id=canada), Canada ranks #26 in the world for military strength.
With 111,000 total military personnel, 16,000,000 available to sign up, 414 aircraft, 60 fighter aircraft, 64 attack aircraft, 3000 armoured vehicles, 80 tanks (yes 80), 63 ships, and 12 frigates, Canada is a formidable force.
But thanks to our close relationship with the USA, we have no need for a large military. Not only is Canada seen as super peaceful and good guys, there would be massive international support for Canada, if anyone were to attack us.
Also, Canada is generally hailed as providing the world with the best snipers. Don't believe me? Just google "Canada sniper".
Oh, and look at the War of 1812. Even though it was 200 years ago, Canada still beat the USA.
