Question: Why can't europeans handle bants? I went to the the Netherlands once and there was a public games console (it was cuphead) where everyone was crowding around and this one guy was killing it, doing level after level without dying once and everyone was basically vocalising how impressed they were, as was I, and then when he finally died on one of the levels I readied some small banter and said (in english because everyone in netherlands basically knows english) "Hey maybe you're not so good at this game afterall haha" and everyone went quiet and exchanged awkward glances. Anyway there was definitely something stagnant in the air and it felt like my comment wasn't well received at all. What's up with that?
