>>426367I think it's that Trump's form of argumentation doesn't have a response to satirical criticism. Find the clip of when Trump himself was on Colbert's show, Trump stuttered and attempted to change the topic constantly because Trump doesn't know how to handle sarcasm.
For instance, you can sit there and call Trump racist all day and he loves it because he can accuse you of unfairly attacking him. But tell him something like "I agree sir, brown people are scary, let's get them out of here!" and you put him in a situation where he has to respond by taking a definitive stance, either endorsing that position by agreeing with you or explaining to you why he doesn't actually believe that.
I think responding to that kind of criticism is too difficult for Trump and his supporters, especially when so much of what he says and believes is so hard to defend logically anyway.
So basically, Colbert makes Trumplings butthurt because he calls out Trump on his bullshit and since they can't argue that he's wrong, they just get mad and call him a cuck.
