>>4298859It's a Baltic state that borders Lithuania to the south, Russia to the east and Estonia to the north. Its flag is kind of maroonish brown with a white stripe in the center. Its capital is Riga. It was converted to Christianity during the middle ages, and then shortly later they engaged in the protestant reformation. They were under the control of Russia for centuries, then they broke away after World War I. During World War II, they were absorbed once again by the USSR and they continued to sit there, miserable, as the Latvian SSR. They achieved independence in 1990 or 1991, and now they are their own little Baltic state along with Lithuania and Estonia.
