A real patrician understands the past is the past and you cannot change it, no reason to dwell in your memories forever. I read classic literature and fiction to expand my mind and grow as a person, I watch great anime for entertainment and to make me think about humanity. Take your best shot, I've read all the greats.
Tolkien to Trotsky, Rowling to Robinson, picked up a book at the age of 11 and haven't stopped in 15 years. Most people my age read maybe once a year, I'm mowing down a book a week and discussing it online to further my understanding of the literary content inside.
