There's a mirror on the moon placed by one of the Apollo missions and you can use a 5cm reflector telescope and a laser mounted on it to momentarily get it to reflect off of the moon during the right time. Some large radio telescope use the mirror to check the consistency of the speed of light, as it should take about 1 second for the laser light to reach the mirror on the moon and another second to bounce back.
