Does the Bible contain esoteric revelations?
Let's look at Genesis. We all know the story about Adam and Eve and the snake. apart from the fact that the seven days of creation can be found in nature and that it contains elemens with are very similar to other middle eastern stories lets point something out here.
the snake talks to eve and tells her to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. but the description of this snake doesnt make sense. the snake is smarter than other animals, and it can talk. is that based on simplistic observation of nature? of course not. the sages who first told the story would never say it was a regular snake, because they were not stupid, they gained their knowledge from religious experience (what we call hallucination).
What does /pol/ know about the Bible?
