He wants to send me a check before receiving any item? And "all he needs" is my address & name? Sounds fishy

That's actually not a bad idea but I kind of want to call this person and hear their voice over the phone so I can make sure I know Im not giving info to a scammer.

this nibba is texting me from a New Jersey area code and I live in West Texas. That'd be like someone from the eastern border of Austria texting you about something you're selling on your local city's craigslist page.
