Are there any small atolls/islands that I can move to or stay at for an extended period of time? I've been pretty hooked on researching remote islands and they seem so relaxing and nice, at the same time I don't want to go to one flooded with stupid tourists.

There's some tourism there, mostly just Dutch people sightseeing. Never been there myself though so I have no idea if it's comfy.

Yeah though most of this country is abandoned cays nobody bothers going to. 700 islands and cays, population of around 500k (documented residents anyways). If you're looking for really remote places though maybe you should try the Galapagos or Madagascar.

Oh by the way, don't go there expecting 100 degrees fahrenheit. During the summer it'll get around 85 though. But this time of year it's mostly rainy and pretty chilly.

Aleutian Islands muh nibba, or south-east Alaska islands, or parts of the US pacific atolls and islands, if you don't want to get a passport at least.
