Self study and time and experience. That's how I learned my things.

But it really depends on what you want to to learn. If it's coding you might want to take a class, but if it's something like building a PC or doing things with software then it's time, experience and self study.

learn base conversions from decimal to binary and vice versa then learn binary arithmetic and boolean algebra then learn how to draw basic logic circuits then get some parts and build a 1 bit binary adder with a breadboard then expand it into a ripple carry 4 bit adder and then learn about two's complement signed integer encoding and make your 4 bit adder capable of subtraction then learn about multiplication and shifts, then look up the 74181 ALU and build that. also learn about NAND logic and build a NAND ALU. after that I dont really know since we haven't gotten that far in class yet
