Long ago, used to be a /pol/ack from 2014 until the end of the election in 2016 when the board became dismal with redditry and shitty memes to the point of inusability. Because 8/pol/ was literal no-fun autism, I drifted around to different boards, from /ic/, /vip/, to even /trash/. Eventually, I settled on /a/, and to a lesser extent, /lit/. I started using /bant/ around a month ago, and it's the best off-topic board outta the rest, really.

Yep. Those are considered informal terms, which also includes "soda, mama, papa, fridge" so and so. Informal terms also include slangs (most internet speak) and clippings (flu for influenza, grad for graduate etc.) Can't also use the word "got" since it's too vague. Can't also start sentences with "And" and "But" so you have to use "Furthermore, Moreover, However". Also spell out numbers below 100 (Not sure how it works for rankings).Contractions aren't also allowed (it's must be it is, don't must be do not). There are a lot of rules honestly, you'd have to make a decent effort to learn it.

It's all bullshit fluff anyway, it's useful in formal works where readability is high priority but in informal speech it's not an issue and realistically no ones going to do shit about it.
I, for example, tend to use commas where I immediately afterwards use a connective and it's just force of habit, I put the comma in first and then form the sentence afterwards. Did it in my last post actually.

There really isn't a set rule. I've done essays in college where I didn't/forgot to spell out numbers and professors either don't care or nitpick you. A good rule is to just be consistent.

They were very nice, gave /tg/ additional traffic and were probably one of the best places for OC on the site. There were always some sperges on /tg/ that raged about quest taking up space on the board (they at most were 10 to 20% of threads at a time) and said they weren't /tg/-related. About a year ago some mod opened a thread saying quests were getting their own board, poorly answered some questions, and /qst/ was created. Quest, however, aren't a big enough draw to support their own board and traffic is so slow that only a few quest survive, and they're mostly quests from /tg/ that migrated over and kept their specific player base.

I'm still mad.
