When it comes down to it (i'm talking serious money million dollar ideas) no one fucking knows whether it is going to work or not.
You can make money of nearly anything I personally know people worth 10s of if not 100s of millions of dollars from selling shitty products like suitcases, sunglasses and toys.
OP's question is bit like saying i'm intrested in gold and would like to work in that area. Ok so do you want to be a greens keeper or tiger fucking woods.
If you have capital you can play with the big boys but I can tell you from experience it is much much harder doing business now in the age of the internet because of these factors 1. The internet 2. Amazon and people willing to make fucking tiny margins and 3. People slowly trusting Chinese products. This all affects me it may not have any relevance to you.
So if you want to do a product based business come to China you can get watches for 1-3 dollars that you can sell for 100$ + dollars sunglassess similar basically everything costs nothing but now you have the problem of not having a brand that would be a great long term goal. To build a brand. Then there are more technology based business's that I don't have much knowledge of or about.
I would say this it is romanticized being an entrepreneur its fucking hard i've had 40 people on payroll before thats alot of pressure. It is a way to escape the rat race but you get trapped in another box where you have more freedoms but way more stress. If you can get a good job it might result in a more peaceful life. Also if you have less lofty goals than me running your own business might be a good option.
I have seen people see what I do and go thats so easy try maybe 3 or 4 times fail and give up I fail 90% of the time but when I get it right boy does it feel good.
