Dunno. I was looking at swapping from Bachelor or IT to Bachelor of IT (Digital Media) which would use the exact same topics as I am studying now. So I have to do all of these topics anyway, but after I finish coding and databases I don't ever have to do them again.

Bachelor of IT. It has lots of Coding and Databses (SQL and Java) which I hate. its very boring. Give me photoshop or sony vegas or adobe after effects.

I dunno. I mean, I've poured over 1000 hours onto photoshop at home, and probably about the same if not more on Sony Vegas, but I've never done a course on it or anything. It could be very, very different.

if you've put a thousand hours of your own time into it I'd say go for it It's better than sitting in a major you hate while failing. There's a huge market for graphic designers as well

Yeah, I really love photoshop and vegas. But my skills are not super advanced. Most of the time has just been spent pissing around with basic stuff (more advanced things on Sony Vegas though).

There's a few designfags in my building and I can honestly say what those guys are doing is really fucking cool sometimes. But you can expect your workspeed to ramp up considerably once you take that shit on, those guys don't have a lot of free fucking time

When I make stuff on photoshop I can sink hours and hours just for fun and end up just deleting it because there wasn't really much point in me making it in the first place. I've now started making memes and trying to make them as complicated as possible (using as many effects, layers etc) so that I can show off my work (as gay as that sounds).

Working with databases is easy as fuck and pays really well - first year wage is 66-78k USD depending on your source.

Graphical design is okay but doesn't pay nearly as well.
