There are some leafs who actually do hate us, and there are usually two reasons:
- Parroted idiotic rhetorical shit, like “when you refer to the U.S.A as ‘America’, it’s hurtful to Canada and Mexico, who are also part of the Americas. Because geography.”
-Or, since they’re pretty much just a version of the U.S. that didn’t inherit the British empire after WWII (and so doesn’t run the planet), they’re in a position to constantly high-horse our geopolitics. By pretending they’d make different decisions.
