Half of those nice threads don't lead to discussion, you just have people saying "hi!" or "happy days!" and that's that.
Go into a nice thread and talk about something serious or something that is bothering you, and I guarantee you won't get a sincere response. If you talk about something serious they'll usually just reply with something canned, which doesn't give room for more discussion.
It's all a facade, just people conforming to being nice just to get (yous) in the thread.
Now I'm not saying all nice posters are shit, that's not the case. Some nice posters are genuinely good people, but the majority of them are just putting up a front
