>>4481510Yeah some of them have been their 40 years, but the newest one still get send there after retiring, those ones are still in great shape. The entire US F-16 fleet (1,400 planes in service) is going to be sold or end up there by 2025.
They don't let you into the boneyard unless you're military, but you can still watch them conduct flight operations on the airbase. They sometimes have special forces guys fly from Davis-Monthan to Luke AFB or sometimes as far as Kirtland AFB in NM. You can tell when it's SF when they are flying the dark gray CV-22 Ospreys. I've seen every single operational US military aircraft fly out of Arizona airbases, including F-22s, F-35s, and Navy and USMC F-18s and Cobras.
