Its also all about your personal tastes so try to sample small different flavours of both to see what your into.
Personally, I don't think me coffee/tea game is very developed however, I'm always buying different things and experimenting with tastes.
I bet there are countless resources online for getting started in brewing coffee and tea. But if you want to start off simple visit a starbucks and order anything off the espresso menu or hit up a local hipster coffee shop or something.
