France: Locals were okay but I was young and we had a tour guide so I never really dealt much with people outside of buying things.

Japan: Kept to themselves, as could be expected. Very kind when they spoke with you and not afraid to help if you needed it. Can tell that respect was important to them though.

Bali: Interesting culture and nice landscapes once you escape the tourist trap havens. People are very aggressive though, but that wasn't unexpected in such a densely populated place

surprised at the amount of international transplants in general (met a lot of spanish folks for example)
people seemed OK
The streets and all the businesses were super clean
everything seemed very orderly
met one Norwegian couple and they were pretty chill but people were generally a bit closed off
I enjoyed the food
