What happened outside of the US when it comes to gun laws is fairly simple: "give your unregistered guns back willingly or don't, no one cares. If you're seen with one, you'll be arrested and charged." Then something very peculiar occured: some people gave back their guns to ease their mind, others didn't and left them to rot in the attic. Where do you think a lot of European milsurp comes from? Our grandfathers looting corpses then hiding the guns for years.
