>>4570584Exactly. Not to mention that even though Hammerfell is not part of the empire anymore the Thalmors are still not capable of defeating yet. With that in mind Skyrim is geographically one of the worst places for the Thalmor to attack.
To get there from the Summerset isles you got to go through either hammerfell or Cyrodiil. Meaning reinforcements will be difficult and Skyrim is an unforgiving tundra giving the nords a huge advantage since they will be engaging them on their home turf.
The dominion will fail, and any loss they suffer will be a weakness the empire can use as an opening to attack the Dominion.
