>Cop comes to my house a week later and tells me I have to go with him to the court house to either pay the fine or go to jail. Puts me in handcuffs and in the back of his car, but I'm "not being arrested."

Fast forward almost two years
>Get a ticket for not having up-to-date vehicle registration (I got the inspection, but I had to go to the tax office to get it done since I waited so long, didn't do it)

>Day I am supposed to appear, put it in calendar on the wrong day
>Luckily see the summons on my desk, freak out and call them to say I forgot, they tell me to just come in
