After a little over 2 years of not giving a shit I finally decided to put some effort into studying English and reach "Advanced".
Where should I start? 20th century literature? Textbooks?
Or is it time to leave my comfort zone and make some English speaking Internet friends?

What sort of English? Can you not speak it or read it? Just watch English movies and TV like, every night, follow English news on Facebook if you have it/read English news.

Watching movies and listening to English will really help you, plus reading obviously.

I already do that on the regular (basically over 95% of all the media I consume are in English) , it seems no different from Russian at this point.
But I do suck at speaking. I'm pretty sure at least one sentence in this post sounds at least a little bit unnatural to a native English speaker.

The only mistake in the whole post is using "Are" in this sentence. In this case media, while being considered a bunch of different things, is being used as a singular noun. So you would write it as 95% of all the media I consume is in English, instead.

Just fyi, I would say "on a regular basis" instead of "on the regular basis." I'm not sure why (I don't think there is a rule or anything) but it just sounds odd the way you said it.

Err, Media is a singular noun. Many things may make up what is considered media but it is, on it's own, a singular thing.
Look at the following sentences

My favorite media is music.

My favorite media are music.

Because we are referring to all of media, it becomes a single thing.

Turns out we are both right, in a way. I think it also depends on what you are describing it as. If we are referring to something like thew News, then it makes sense to use plural but if we are using it like OP did, then I think singular is still technically correct.

Guess it could go both ways though.

"On the regular" is like a standalone reply though.
Someone asks you "Do you go on 4chan" you would reply "on the regular".

However, you created sentence in the way you did, you would say "I go on 4chan on a regular basis"

I think something important to understand with the few things we've called out, OP, is that these are pretty nit picky things. You could get by just fine with what you've shown so far. But if speaking is a concern, I'm sure you could find plenty of people here to talk with to help you out.

Well, I think the biggest problem is speaking, as in "opening your mouth and saying something out loud".
I don't think 4chan can help, because right now I'm typing instead of speaking. I don't have to pay attention to pronunciation, I have plenty of time to think what to say and to correct some of the mistakes, I can change my mind and just erase everything to start over, etc. I don't have those benefits in real life conversations.
I usually get nervous and end up making a fuckton of dumb, MS tech support tier mistakes, and often take 1-2 seconds long pauses because I don't know what to say and what words to use.
Can Interpals or something like that help me?

Interpals isn't bad either but just be ready to try and teach Russian to the other person as well.

There are only so many languages that actually matter, anon.

In essence, you are correct. But the marvel comes from the fact that people have created something that allows them to communicate, with others. Language itself becomes more marvelous because of how descriptive and interesting it can be. Animals may be able to communicate, but not on the level that humans can. So I still find language as a whole to be marvelous, even if some seem less so.
