US used to hate Russia because we were godless commies; but we aren't commies anymore, and we certainly aren't godless. I think it's time that conservatives in US realize we're conservative too, and we don't want to conquer the world but simply want others to not thread on us.
But it's a 2-way street; and frankly, a lot (if not most) of Russians really do hate America. They scapegoat it for everything and think Russia is the center of the world, always being conspired against. I think most of this is old belief, but many do believe it firmly, from my experience. Government kind of supports it, but IMO it's the people who really think US is the devil.
I wonder if NATO will at least get its rockets away from Russia and Ukraine will kick Poroshenko out, maybe then we'll face some change in rhetoric from Russia . Putin has a no-compromise stance on it. I'm sure that until this happens, both our countries will be at gunpoint banter.
