You have 3 options
1.) Find one of the groups that WotC sends out that meet weekly that teach people how to play with no commitment (I don't remember what they're called, sorry.)
2.) Go to your local used game/comic store (because they're always both) and ask if they have any dnd meetups weekly. Oftentimes multiple groups come, even on different days. Show up to one and ask if they can teach you the ropes or settle you into it.
3.) pester your IRL friends into teaching you
