They live in a vacuum where they cannot fathom that most people have never listened to or even heard of bands like SWANS.
There used to be a good group of people helping people find new music in share threads (including myself) but it became the same stale shit over and over again.
Sometimes they get it right; The new Gorillaz album was a piece of shit and it was rightfully panned by most of /mu/ - other times they just hate albums for no reason other than they are popular with people outside of /mu/. Boris' album PINK is a good example - it is considered by many to be one of the greatest metal albums ever made, but because of its popularity that helped a Japanese Metal Band headline shows in the USA, /mu/ hates it.
