Other than D&D, I'd recommend 'Dungeon Crawler Classic' if you're looking for a relentlessly difficult game. If you want a big dumb, broken RP go with 'Star Wars Saga' which is a blast to play. If you're looking to play as a super hero, check out 'Marvel Heroic Roleplaying' if you want a free form RP system or 'Mutants & Masterminds' if you want to make characters that are too cool for school. If you want to fuck NPCs to death and become double pregnant, check out 'F.A.T.A.L.' ... you won't have any fun actually playing the game, but keeping track of your anal circumference is something I've never had to do in any other RP. And if you want to play the best, most balanced RP of all time, check out 'West End Games D6'; I highly recommend the Star Wars edition, but there are other editions for different genres.
