It depends what you mean, really. In general like most Americans most Brits are extremely ignorant of history outside of their own country. Therefore they don't have an opinion either way really. If they kinda know who he is they will just probably recognise him as a morally neutral revolutionary.
As for people who actually know what they are talking about, I've never heard a bad word about Washington, really. I mean people meme and say things like "Americans didn't want fiscal responsibility and chimped out about it" but never in my life have I met someone who believed this in any serious manner
