I consider it to be knowledge or facts that run contrary to some generally accepted narrative. The reason it's separate from the blue pill (the narrative, "brainwashing") is not just that, but also that it (the collection of facts) holds enough logical water to completely challenge that narrative and open someone's eyes to how things really (provably) are
Like their namesake, they are dangerous to the "matrix" because by dispelling the facade of some commonly held but false belief, it arms a person with the ability to no longer be manipulated or controlled by it
Essentially, a redpill is a collection of facts which both support an unpopular opinion AND are logically sound enough to support it
