Look on the bright side, the good folks cultivated the good stuff for you so you wouldn't have to deal with all the inane bullcrap that happens in between -which there was a lot of- You only get to observe the threads that were great enough for people to deem them worthy of archival thus creating a confirmation bias-
Each passing generation envies the last, who is to say you won't stumble upon such a gem during your stay?
Honestly, having FOMO over such things is pointless. What about all the other great internet stories that didn't get such a treatment and are now lost to time?
