if it comes naturally you weren't racist to begin with
if you force yourself to do it you're just trying to mask your already existing racist feelings. those feelings may be reduced in intensity or take roots even deeper depending on how the encounter goes. most of the time it's the latter since every member of every thing has preconceived notions about literally every other thing that isn't them.
