>>4870261yeah, same for bulgarian, but there are tricks you can use to get around that, if you're a real autist like me. first step is checking google translate. usually that will fail. for the best possible translation you go to your local language's wikipedia and open the article for the word you're looking for. then you check the list of foreign languages the article is available in. usually you can see if that word is found in the various sister languages. for example for bulgarian i check all the slavic languages, then greek and turkish and lastly the romance languages. you can check the slavic languages and german. then when you find a commonality, you pick the most popular language that word is found in, and go to wiktionary and that usually has an article for it.
for slimak i went to the czech wiki, saw the latin name was "limax"(clearly related to slimak) in the english wiki, then went to wiktionary and i looked up the etymology "limax" to get the answer.
