Like Moot was just some kid that made yet another chan board, like many others and hosted it on his mac minis or what have you, but somehow all sorts of sociopaths just decided to make it their home.
/bant/ is a strange extension of that. It sounds absolutely out of touch, like some lame cola executives trying to relate to kids these days. But it keeps limping along, despite its foibles because we refuse to leave. And even when we try to leave, we can't. Maybe part of the charm is that the people in charge don't give a fuck, like a run down arcade that seems to be run by the kids who play the machines. I don't know, you know?
