I need to know how to extract and preserve sperm from a male dog. I want to get my wife pregnant so we can finally start a proper family together like we always wanted, which unfortunately isn't something I am capable of providing on my own, despite my best efforts. It's clear what's needed, however, the idea of her mating with another male just doesn't sit right with me at all, so I would like to inseminate her artificially.

I do have a doner in mind, my sister's border collie who I will be babysitting this weekend, He has not been neutered yet to my knowledge. He has very good genes, very intelligent just like my wife; very good breeding stock, I can expect strong, healthy offspring from him. The only complication might be that this dog is very young, he is only a few months old and not yet fully grown. I was wondering if perhaps he might not be mature enough to produce fertile sperm? I don't know.
