But there are two types of healthcare: National Health insurance, which almost everyone uses, and private health insurance, which most self-employed people have to use. The latter costs less, but will only pay for everything above 600€, so you'll have to pay for every small stuff, like vaccinations and medication.
They do usually get better treatment in hospitals though, single rooms and supervision by the chief doctor.
My father unfortunately has to use that, he'd much rather have normal health insurance.
Single-payer health insurance would be much better than what we have now.
And I want public-owned hospitals back, almost all hospitals are privately owned now and they're terrible.
We also still use the DRG system, which is just a huge disgusting failure.
All in all, our health system is not that great.
