>Azeeka - Sand Seers
>Farther still into the deserts lie a different breed of man entirely, forged by the hardships of living in an unforgiving environment. These men speak of encountering strange creatures and spirits during their travels, and seldom settle down due to the difficulty of procuring sustenance from the vast sand dune regions, even with magic, only traveling across these expanses in order to move from one trade route to the other, or perhaps to try and seek out lost technology buried in the sands. Of the few willing to try and ek a more permanent existence in the deserts, the Azeekans are legendary. At a glance, they appear to be a simplistic people, almost tribal and ascetic existence. Only the purple shade of his robe separates the chieftan of the Azeekans from his subjects, and much like his people he lives with little more than bare necessities, for neither he, nor the people of Azeeka are concerned with worldly matters as much as they are infatuated with bending a vast canvas to their aesthetic image, the most prized possession in all of Azeeka being sand of exotic colors.
>Masters in the magical art known as sand drawing, Azeekans construct elaborate murals of distant environments, such as oceans, forests, plains, and rivers, transforming the lifeless desert into a vibrant world of lushness seen only in the most affluent parts of the Lomre. During the fifth day of every month, these sand-painted vistas are made true, and during this time the simple Azeekans live in a fleeting paradise from which they can work the land, gather water, and live in buildings as lavish as their imaginations allow before it returns turns to dust come next dawn. Such miracles are dismissed as a tall tale by the peoples of civilized regions beyond the scope of existing mortal magic knowledge, yet Azeeka continues to ask for more colors of sand of which to expand their paradise.
