Fun with Salt
_____________________________________________________________________________
Today we will have a look at the production of some really fun gases for the
aspiring art student. Think of this as an alternative to art if you were to
fail. You know... take over Europe, drink a glas of juice and stuff
Materials
---------
1.) Some Water
2.) Some Salt (NaCl)
3.) Some Electric Supply (LESS than 1A)
(like a power adapter from an old Laptop)
4.) Some plastic tube (acid resistant if possible)
5.) Some wires (if your #3 doesnt already include any)
6.) Whatever you plan to keep the gas in (lika a balloon)
7.) Pencil mines
Procedure
---------
1.) Fix your tube in a U shape
(fasten it to some kind of board or whatever)

2.) Attach each wire of your power supply to a pencil mine
(one mine per cable)
3.) Let the two wires of your supply dangle in either end of the U
4.) Now attach your gas keeping method of choice to the + pole of
your supply
5.) Start the machine by supplying it with power, the bubbles on
the - side are H2, the bubbles on the + side are chlorine gas.
