Why the fuck do books and movies have to convey a message and why do people love it? What happened to art for art's sake? Why should a work of art tell me what to think and what to act like? I can't stand books with hundreds of hidden references about stuff I could care less to know. Plus, academics and literature experts are a stinking pile of pretentious and rotten shit. Why would being able to find hidden references boost so much your ego anyway? What sort of accomplishment do you get by being a snobbish fuck?
