Its target audience isn't high enough and I doubt it would ever make any considerable merch money considering that's what moe shit shows are made for, cheap show with below average story that's only bait for weebfags to buy merch of their favorite cute girls doing le cute things. Doesn't help that the horror manga that get to be animated are normally absolute garbage and trying to be too edgy for the sake of it.

No all round anything too do with horror it died, we have seen so many thing that have to do with horror that we no longer afraid of anything, in tell we steep back off anything with horror we will not be able to make too fear for anime/manga/book/ movie and so on too work with.

Horror's always been a extremely niche genre in anime with good horror anime being released far from one another. Horror doesn't translate well to animation anyways. You're better off getting into Japanese live-action horror or horror manga.
