I was out at the bars tonight and I saw one of my teachers. I'm majoring in physics but learning french at uni because the credits and I want to learn a foreign language. He is a flaming homo commie at first glance but I really enjoyed his class because he is intelligent and I thought we got along well. Anyway, we were at the bars and I bumped into him and we had a conversation and it eventually turned to politics. I know his beliefs because occasionally he would spurt some new age bull shit during class which I would just ignore. But after talking for some time I said "If you knew my politics you probably hate me". I told him I was a national socialist and just like that something flipped in his brain and he literally told me "I can't associate with you anymore". I was dumbfounded, a loss of words, I was expecting something along the lines of a why but the damage was done the conversation had changed. It was bizarre. I feel weird, I liked this guy despite of his appearance and political views. I feel hurt, but I guess this is the state of things now.
