>>5266619no. You see a star destroyer near the start of the movie, that is being constructed in a shipyard. Then Han joins the empire and you see a handful of stormtroopers (? mudtroopers?) shortly afterwards during a war sequence. Then the movie is all about space gangsters for a good hour something until the Kessel run takes place, when another star destroyer shows up and tries to blockade the falcon. A few tie fighters come out of the destroyer and for a couple minutes there's the typical "bad guys get bumped onto oncoming asteroids and explode" sequence. Then at the end of the movie there's the Darth Maul hologram.
That's the full extent of the empire's presence in this movie.
