There's only one God...

Satan is the evil that men do, an expression of God that's not exactly pleasant. Humans are the best representation of God, being the most intelligent beings we currently have contact with, but are imperfect. That imperfection is what you could call Satan.

But belief in Satan as a separate being breaks monotheism. Again, there's only one God.
