Disclosure has already happened, in a way. For example, most leading mainstream scientists now admit that there's a 99.9% chance that extraterrestrial life exists somewhere in the universe. The "we are alone" theory is now a fringe theory in modern academia. The U.S. and other states have disclosed UFO research programmes, effectively acknowledging their existence.
I know you're expecting some kind of Hollywood tier disclosure where the president comes on TV and tells the world about the aliens, and that may still happen one day. But my point being that at this stage, you don't really need that to believe, there's already enough out there to convince most skeptics we're not alone.
