>>5377616>Sexual desire for crimeAre you talking about rape statistics, sexual abuse? General petty crime?
East Asia is really industrialized and well developed. It has some massive tech giants in Korea and Japan. China has the largest output of raw materials, aside from its communist system.
However, there are a plethora of underlying social issues that aren't often addressed. The first that would come to mind would be Suicide and human trafficking. Including a general passiveness as bystanders.
Cognitive dissonance is a big issue. There's still a large amount of nationalism compared to the west. And there is deep seeded hatred between eastern Asian nations.
>Japan would probably be the best example of what an Eastern Asian nation could achieve and has the 3rd highest in nominal GDP. Is it overrated, yes It's going to have a growing elderly population raising debt, national healthcare is going to increase and plus there are so many minute issues that Japan usually glosses over. >Korea is doing okay, has a huge international sector and plus it's a great example of post-war economic miracles. I don't know too much about Korea. However, I really hope re-unification would occur within the next 25 years (i know wishful thinking). NK Is a shining example of what Soviet, then Chinese foreign influence can do. But Having a US-backed nation for 50 years re-unite is contemptuous. >Taiwan is nothing too special. It's an exile island of China for Chun Kai Shek and it's a decent trade hub between ASEAN countries and Eastern Asia. I don't know much about Taiwan especially. >>5378015Southeastern Asia is definitely seeing more growth than Eastern Asia. Plus ASEAN demonstrates a complete difference in diplomatic behavior instead of the stand-offish nature compared to Eastern Asia. I wouldn't be surprised if even India and SE Asia have an increase in power and influence.
