Why is Motoko in Ghost in the Shell such a heavily sexualised character? In the manga there was literally a scene where she has sex with two other girls while on holiday in recreational boat. In much of the anime, particularly in Arise, her outfits are unnecessarily revealing. Why was all this even necessary?
