>>5409382It's not all good, not to mention art is subjective, which is why some succeeds and some just eats shit(even when it doesn't deserve to)
Take for example the game: West of Loathing
A game that was nothing but stick figure levels of art and the game sold well, why? because it had a charm and silly humour that appealed to the younger population, and the younger part of ourselves.
You get the idea
>>5409391My condolences for your GF, my respects to her and I hope things go her way, but capitalism goes both ways. Also have you ever experienced art-block, writers-block, or anything similar? You really just want to do shit but can't? In the socialist economy you describe there is no real end goal, you just have it, so why continue? Only the truly driven will ever care, but the truth is that many need a feeling of purpose when drawing, so sure your GF may be very much driven towards her goal, but most just want to improve and have their work noticed, we don't really do it for fun, we have loads of shit that can be fun, not this shit, we do it because we want to express ourselves, to show how we feel, act, think, etc. A lot of art is never fun, or enjoyable, it just gives people a feeling of worth when they're given awards for it.
