They only know one civilization that existed somewhere in the continent, so they claim it for themselves. They could claim Mali, Kongo, Songhaï, but they do not know they exist. They do not talk the language of their ancestors. They do not have the same culture. They think Africa is so great, but they are afraid to go there.
If they even had the courage to confront their fantasy vision of their "roots" with reality, they would get BTFO'd hard.
