American schooling, at least public schooling is inferior to those in Europe and Japan. Of course they have flaws, but in America public schooling is being pushed so hard, despite the fact that it’s not really worth it, and should be dropped. The reason for its failiure is due to lack of competition, and like the medical industry in America(patents for medicine), it falls flat due to this, and siphons off the worker’s money, while doing little with it, and not bringing good education.
In the American-Japanese schools I went to had it quite similar, however they were treated with decent autonomy, and the priniples are genuine people trying their best for the kids, the school itself only being intervened on serious matters and organization-wide changes.
I could be wrong of course, I only went to American schools in America when I was young, so take what I say with a pinch of salt.
