I always wonder, what is it like to be from some small insignificant country with no history? Like Slovenia or Norway. What keeps the people there going?

I guess what keeps them going is the idea that they are unique, have exclusivity etc. The problem with being superpowers, or former superpowers, is that in doing so you lose your sense of what the hell you were in the first place. At least Slovenia knows exactly what it is like to be Slovenian

What keeps us going is knowing that wherever we go on the world, people know what we're about, and are always fascinated to know more about our culture. Must be terrible to travel the world as a Norwegian and constantly having to point out you're not Swedish or German
